Our team
The people who know maritime safety and quality management, inside and out.

Amanda is a Master Mariner who has seen safety and quality management from every side: as a vessel operator, regulator, investigator, auditor, instructor and past member of senior management teams. She is a credentialed ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Lead Auditor. She has served as a Designated Person Ashore (DPA), senior nautical inspector, examiner of masters and mates, and senior nautical investigator, with a national maritime regulator, a national transportation safety investigation board and a passenger ferry operator. She leads management system design, internal audits, certification support and training for clients working with flag administrations including Canada, the United States, Norway, Panama, Cyprus, Liberia, the Bahamas and St. Vincent & the Grenadines. Clients value her ability to turn complex requirements into lean, practical systems that work in practice, not just on paper.

Michael is a Master Mariner and MBA with more than four decades of leadership in vessel operations, marine safety, port management, regulatory compliance and transportation systems. He has held senior roles with major ferry operators, port authorities and a naval service, and has advised marine transportation companies, port authorities and offshore energy projects internationally. His expertise spans passenger vessel operations, marine surveying, accident investigation, ISO and International Safety Management (ISM) Code auditing, safety and quality management systems, marine security and port development.

Harry brings technical expertise, analytical thinking and close attention to detail. Trained as a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) technician, he built his career in inspection and quality assurance for large oil, gas and energy operations. That background gives him a disciplined, methodical approach to quality control, risk identification and operational improvement. Harry is also studying psychology, adding an understanding of human performance and organizational behaviour. A clear writer who also works in French and German, he supports projects that need rigorous analysis and clear documentation.

No Cookie Cutter Solutions: Purpose-built management systems
Every marine operation is different. We take the time to understand how your organization works before developing practical Safety, Quality, and Environmental management systems that fit your vessels, your people, and your regulatory requirements — not someone else's template.
We believe less is best: lean systems, short procedures and plain language that every crew member can follow. Our founder is a member of Plain Canada Clair, and we follow plain language principles in everything we write.
We are AI-literate and human-led. We use AI tools to speed up research, drafting and document review, but our consultants check every result and stay accountable for all advice. Client information is never entered into public AI tools. When travel or shipboard access isn't practical, we run meetings, document reviews and project updates by video, using Microsoft Teams or your preferred platform.
Safety
Safety is the foundation of every effective management system. We help organizations develop practical procedures, manage operational risk, and build a culture where crews are prepared, responsibilities are clearly defined, and compliance supports safer day-to-day operations.
Quality
Quality management creates consistency across your operation. By documenting processes, improving accountability, and supporting continual improvement, we help organizations operate more efficiently while delivering reliable results for crews, clients, and regulators alike.
Environment
Environmental responsibility is becoming an essential part of modern maritime operations. We help organizations integrate practical environmental management practices that support regulatory compliance, reduce operational risk, & prepare for the evolving expectations of the marine industry.
