Software & Digital Organization
Many operators still run their Safety Management System (SMS) or Quality Management System (QMS) through scattered folders, email and paper. Mor Ocean helps you organize your Safety Management Manual (SMM), the complete set of SMS documentation, into a clear digital structure, and select and implement software that fits your size and budget. Going digital is also the ideal time to apply our less-is-best approach: we help you retire duplicate forms and outdated procedures rather than simply scanning them. We set up document control, reporting, and nonconformity and corrective action tracking so information reaches the right people, records are audit-ready, and crews can find what they need on board, even with limited connectivity.

What's included?
Digital SMM Structure & Document Control
A clear digital structure for your Safety Management Manual (SMM), with version and document control.
SMS Software Selection & Implementation
Choosing and setting up Safety Management System (SMS) software that fits your size and budget.
Reporting & Corrective Action Tracking
Simple reporting and tracking so non-conformities, accidents and hazardous occurrences are followed through.
Records & Evidence Management for Audits
Organized, audit-ready records that show your system works in practice.

Why choose Mor Ocean for digital organization?
We are management system specialists first, not software sellers. We recommend tools that fit your operation and budget, not the other way around, and we structure your documentation so it works for auditors, for management and, above all, for the crews who have to use it.
We use AI-assisted tools to sort, compare and cross-reference large document sets, and a consultant checks every result. We also help you choose digital tools that work at sea, including on vessels with limited bandwidth.

Yes, carefully. AI helps us work faster. Our consultants check every result, and your information stays confidential.
No. "Safety Management Manual" (often shortened to SMM) is the term the International Safety Management (ISM) Code, section 11.3, uses for the documentation that describes and implements a company's Safety Management System (SMS). The International Association of Classification Societies (IACS) uses the same definition in its Recommendation No. 41. In practice, your Safety Management Manual is all of that documentation together: policies, procedures, forms, instructions and records. The ISM Code leaves the format to the company, so it can be digital, paper or both, and stored wherever works best, as long as each ship carries the documentation relevant to it. We help operators organize their Safety Management Manual so crews can find what they need quickly, often with a well-structured digital system.
